All Smiles!

Charlie has really started smiling more lately. His little personality is emerging. We can't wait to see more. He loves to coo and tries to talk. He still loves to be cuddled which is hard when we need to get stuff done. Thank Heavens he also loves his swing which is still where he takes all his naps.

Audrey turned 7!!!
For Audrey's 7th birthday party she had a Little Chef's theme. The girls decorated their own aprons and hats, then they made their own pizzas and cupcakes. She had a great time! I'm thrilled it is over. Phew!

I've lost my mind! I actually paid money to have a rodent in my house. Don't we usually pay money to get rid of rodents?

All Audrey wanted for her Birthday (despite my discouragement) was a pet gerbil. I sent her on a scavenger hunt where at the end she found the cage and all the fixings. Later that day we went and picked out a female black gerbil she named Skittles.

Charlie was officially named and blessed on August 2nd. Everything went well. We had family over afterwards for a late lunch. Everyone had a great time.

When Aunt Chelsy came to town a few months ago she took Audrey on a girls day out. They went for pedicures and to a local cafe for hot chocolate. Audrey felt like a queen. She has a special place in her heart for Aunt Chelsy.

Welcome Charlie Jackson Stubbs!
Charlie arrived on June 22 at a whopping 7 pounds 13 ounces. He came out wanting to eat and has never stopped. He is a really good baby and at 3 weeks old he still sleeps most of the time. If we could just stretch out those feedings (especially at night) he would be the perfect baby. He is very cuddly and loves to be held and snuggled. After some serious post partum complications and a difficult recovery we are just so grateful for this new little spirit and we are enjoying every minute.
I love this picture. It looks like he is waving hello.

Proud Papa!

Big little sister Eva. Eva hasn't even seemed to notice the new competition. I was worried she would be jealous because she has been my little side kick for the last year. However, she is a lot more interested in doing whatever Audrey is doing and loves her new role as a big girl. She had a rough stretch in the beginning after being passed around for 2 weeks. We thought maybe she had been abducted by aliens and was possessed, but she is back to her good natured little self.

Audrey has been great! She is my little helper (as long as it doesn't involve diapers). She has been very sweet and eager to please. She actually enjoyed being passed around for 2 weeks and still asks every day where she gets to go today. She has been great with Eva and never seems to tire of her new little shadow. It has been great to see how all of this has brought them together.

Dance! Dance! Dance!
Despite My best efforts to turn my girls into soccer players or gymnasts all they want to do is dance. This is all a new adventure for me because I never took dance myself. I didn't realize there are so many different kinds of dance.
Eva started lessons this winter after much pleading and begging. It is really fun to watch her especially considering she can barely walk straight without falling down. She loves it though and asks everyday if it is dance today.

Easter Morning
The girls had a great time searching for eggs and discovering treats and trinkets in their basket.
Eva's favorite holidays are Easter and Halloween because they involve the most candy.

Audrey was most excited about her new book. She read it in one day.

Easter Eggs
Mckray and Weston came over to decorate Easter Eggs. They all turned out beautiful and luckily there were no catastrophes.

Sisters
Audrey and Eva have been playing so well together lately. I wondered if they ever would with thier 3 and a half year age gap. In the last six months they have really become friends and enjoy playing together. They still have the typical sibling rivalry but they seem do really well for the most part.
Audrey and Eva are always making and inventing things out of regular houselhold items. Here they made a sink man.

Audrey and Eva got a new Cadillac Escalade for Christmas. Audrey taking Mckray for a spin. Mckray and Weston got a John Deer tractor. Eva taking Weston for a ride.

Disney World

We took a trip to Disney World in December with the entire Stubbs clan. Everyone had a great time. Audrey rode all the rides she was tall enough for and was very brave. She even went on some of the scary rides twice. Eva enjoyed the little rides and asks me every day when we get to go back. We told her Disney World was her birthday party because we left the day after her birthday. Unfortunately that was not a great idea because now she thinks she gets to go to Disney World for her future birthdays. The family at Animal Kingdom.

The girls with Minnie. Eva thinks the characters are her friends. She said her favorite part of Disney World was seeing her friends.

Audrey and her cousin Grace in front of Snow Whites Castle. Audrey thinks our new Draper Temple looks like Snow Whites Castle.

Eva on the Merry-go-round with dad.

The family on Its a Small world. The kids were all mesmerized and the adults got a little nap.

Baby Boy Stubbs

Well I know I have been a horrible blogger, but I have a good excuse. We are expecting our third baby ( a boy!) in June and I have had horrible morning sickness. I am now feeling better and have decided to re-enter the blogger world. These are some ultra sound photos of him at about 17 weeks. We are really excited to meet him. Audrey was especially excited to find out it was a boy. As she put it "we already have enough girls". Eva said she already had a baby (she got a baby doll for Christmas) but quickly warmed up to the idea. When I told Audrey the baby is the reason I have not been feeling well she asked " Why does the baby make you sick, does it hate you?". I told her the baby doesn't hate me but pregnancy sure does. Anyway, seeing him makes it all worth it
This one a his 3-D image of his face. Technology is amazing

This is a profile of his head and abdomen.

This is a picture of the tell-tell signs of a boy. He had no problem showing it off.
